There are many things you don't know about me. I don't give a damn how childish it is to get in a war of insults with some dinosaur king just because he insists he's going to burn me down and steal Karen; it gives me a means of taking out frustrations I have no other ready outlets for when I'm trying to do too much as it is. I'm sorry if that doesn't live up to your expectations or standards, but I never asked to be on anyone's pedestal. I'm well aware that I'm not perfect. I smoke too much, I drink too much, I pick fights with pirates expressly for the sake of picking fights.
I even yell at Tashigi so that she doesn't slack off. However, that said, how I deal with Tashigi is between me and her. When she has a problem with it she makes it very clear and you're free to ask her yourself. She wants to collect all the meitou that are in the hands of pirates. That is by no means an easy to achieve goal and if she wishes to succeed she'll have to deal with far more than her commanding officer being gruff with her.
You are always free to speak your mind Goemon. That is not an obedience I require on my ship, nor will it ever be. But understand this; just because you can't always understand my motives doesn't mean they aren't there. Speak up as you see fit, rebuke me if you wish it, but know that I'm not out to make friends. I never have been. I'm on the journal system to help people from outside this world, keep tabs on pirates, keep tabs on my crew, and occasionally blow off some steam. And if Bowser can't handle that he shouldn't pick fights in my journal the first time through.
