I very much doubt Karen would wonder why you're my second in command. And you should try to get along. If you can. I thought you liked her?

I know.
That doesn't mean there aren't others who couldn't likewise benefit. Private sessions and then when you think she's gotten better, an open competition.

I don't see why she wouldn't Tashigi. She has adoptive crew, I have mine. Whatever you and I have been, it's never been that.
When she dumped me though, I was jealous of Nataku. Because I'd have done anything to be closer to her. What I don't get is that if she felt that way about me... Hn. I'll concede her home world has complications. I don't know... women confuse me. I think I cleared things up. And now that she knows where she stands, it might be easier?

Sir, not to be offensive, but.
It's... to me, treading thin ice with her by us even being told that we act like we're married. At least for me.
Even though I believe, the "Are they married?" comment is derived from the fact that you're almost an idiot when it comes to some things and I do what I can to make sure you don't get hurt and you do the same for me.
I think she doesn't like me because, even though you remind her that we're more like relatives and that we'd both consider it weird to even think of each other remotely in that fashion, I am like a threat in some weird way.
But that's just me. So I keep my distance.

Besides, I want to get to know her and become her friend, I just don't think she wants me to try.

Tashigi, I believe that's thoroughly unnecessary. I could be wrong. I'm not going to pretend to know that woman's mind inside and out most days, but if you like her then maybe she just needs a better chance. If she feels threatened it's not because of you, it's because I'm something of an idiot at dealing with women and she'll have to come to realize that, understood? I'm not going to make you talk to each other but it's not that big a ship. You're both always going to be a big part of my life and if you can accept that, so can she.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but try that upfront attitude. Lay it out in black and white, no room for misinterpretation. If she still wants to avoid you or at least give it space and time, then what have you lost, right?
